Carol Nelson Design is celebrating over 25 years of serving the Flathead Valley and surrounding areas in both residential and commercial interior design. With 2 designers, a draftsman and a very supportive staff, it is easy to be well cared for, regardless of how large or small the project. From the initial consultation to the day you move in, Carol Nelson Design can provide everything to complete your home.

Our work includes new construction as well as remodels, updates and room details –i.e. new furniture, upholstery, window blinds & drapes, etc. Kitchen and Bath design are our specialties. Carol has a Certified Kitchen Design (CKD) background, and can provide you with a kitchen design if requested. We do general consultation on an hourly basis for any interior design concern.

Our showroom is open to the public as is our retail outlet located at the Barn in Bigfork. We always have a variety of lamps and accessories, together with select furniture pieces, in the showroom. We are very proud of our extensive interior design library. Our resource library includes fabric samples, window blinds, furniture catalogs, lamp, mirror and accessory catalogs and bedding resources. It is available for personal use as well as with one of our designers. All of our fabric samples are available for check-out lending.

Historically, Carol Nelson Design is pleased to be involved in a variety of community projects. Always active with the Flathead Building Association, we have participated with the Student Built House since its inception, Parade of Homes and Showcase. Carol not only served as president of FBA, but also president of Kalispell Chamber of Commerce. Our most current new community project is the Gateway Community Center.

Reaching beyond our local community, we at Carol Nelson Design recognize the importance of a global consciousness. Today, the choices we make in building, designing and creating our homes have a ripple effect far beyond our present circumstances. We have the power to make a more positive impact in our lives and for future generations by making more sustainable and healthier selections when creating our living/working spaces. Our ability to assist our clients in making informed and discerning choices in the green arena is a dynamic we are grateful to provide.
